The Blushing Philodendron has many hybrids, as the ones in their natural habitat are commonly colored in dark green. The species’ name itself, erubescens means “blushing” because of its distinctive red stems.  Since the species varies, every leaf does not always exhibit the “blush”.

They grow well in heat and humidity, making it a great plant to keep in tropical countries. They are very adaptable to indoor spaces, that they are commonly found in vertical gardens. They are also a climbing vine, so they would look very nice if plopped on your bookshelf.
