In Meghalaya, India, the roots of the hundred-years-old Rubber tree were built and led as a bridge to cross paths from one village to another. Many regarded the architecture to be very sustainable and environmentally friendly – inviting a lot of tourists to view the majestic sight of the naturally-made bridge.

Not only regarded as a very strong tree, their milky-white sap is commonly used to produce fabricate rubber. In the indigenous part of Southern Asia and South East Asia where medical access is limited, they use the Rubber Plant as a form of alternative medication.

The Rubber Plant has a lot to offer. They are an excellent addition to any room, giving immediate sense of tranquility with their waxy burgundy/dark green leaves. They are an effective plant to naturally clean the air too!

Frequent moving around will cause Rubber Plant to be stressed and lose their leaves, try to assign one spot when placing them in your home, make sure to place them at the brightest area of your room. Don’t be alarmed with a few leaves dropping as they adjust to your new home!
