Mysterious praying plant that’s striking with its dark leaves and strokes of bold pink
Another Goeppertia pretending to be a Calathea! The Calathea Dottie has recently been reclassified to Goeppertia roseopicta ‘Dottie’. Most Goeppertias originated from Africa, but this is from the Northern part of tropical Brazil.
The prayer plant is very well-known for their habit in raising and lowering their leaves like a ‘prayer’ when there’s not a lot of sunlight. The plant, like almost all Calatheas and Goppertias, is quite a homework to deal with, make sure you are well-prepared in taking care of them as they require quite the attention!
When in bloom, they give out small white flowers that occasionally appear in sunny days.
