Even plants can blush!
Endemic to the rainforest of Brazil, they commonly grow on trees (epiphyte) or with other species on the forest floor collecting water within the center ‘tank’. They have small roots with its main purpose to attach as they get their nutrients from the middle flowering of the plant.
These plants are commonly grown as a houseplant and very popular with its attractive color. Do not be surprised of the life cycle of the plant after it flowers, the plants are expected to die off. The parent plant before dying will produce pups which you can propagate and make new plants for your home. Also, remember to flush the water regularly to avoid mosquitoes laying their eggs.
